Your World is currently looking to place a Band 7 OT with UK experience into a locum role in Ealing.

Based in a fantastic Clinic in Acton, this position is ideal for an OT who needs a new challenge and wants to take their career to the next step. This position comes with the added bonus of working alongside an experienced team of healthcare professionals. 

Job Summary

 To provide highly specialist occupational therapy working as an expert clinical practitioner within the Brent Acute occupational therapy team.

 To work effectively in partnership with a range of agencies and community providers that support service users in their recovery.

 To manage a defined clinical caseload of service users with complex mental health needs, using evidence based and recovery principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate treatment.

 To integrate evidence based practice and skilful use of assessments & interventions with personal recovery principles in order to support the client to prepare for discharge form the ward. With the overall aim to improve the service users’ quality of life and to support them to do the things they want to do and live the life they want to lead

 To provide the operational management and clinical leadership to the occupational therapy service and oversee the therapy input into the Tamarind Centre with the support of the Service Manager and Brent Head Occupational Therapist

 To work in conjunction with the Trust Head Occupational Therapist, Borough Head Occupational Therapist and other Lead OTs in the trust to support the development of and promote evidence-based OT within the acute service.

Requirements

• Full OT qualifications

• HCPC registration

• UK Occupational Therapy experience

• Excellent written and verbal communication
