The Clinical Pharmacy Congress took place on 27th and 27th April, and what an event it was!
The Congress has become one of our newer conferences that we consider a mainstay in the Your World calendar after some successful years at the event previously.
Back for the second year running was Jethro Christensen, Ben Arnold (both Pharmacy Recruiters) and Key Account Director Alex Flowerdew. Joining them in fling the flag was our latest addition to the Pharmacy recruitment team, Tom Gosney.
Speaking after the event, Tom said: “It was a really good experience for me as I generally developed my knowledge of pharmacy through talking to clients, candidates and observing the different stands and presentations there.
I got to meet a few of my existing candidates who I’ve only dealt with on the phone previously which was nice. It’s always good to put a face to a name for them and myself.”

Key attractions of the two-day event included the launch of a new peer-to-peer online platform CPC Connect designed to support pharmacists through the new regulatory process, as well as a wide range of new content for the growing branch of general practice pharmacy. A particular highlight for delegates was to hear the results of the long-awaited Best of Clinical Pharmacy Awards and the Medicines Safety Keynote address, delivered by Chief Pharmaceutical Officer for NHS England, Dr Keith Ridge.
