Plumber (entry level)

Job Overview:

The entry level Plumber is responsible for performing routine and non-routine plumbing tasks, including installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical and heating systems, as well as hot and cold-water plant and equipment. This role requires adherence to Health and Safety and Security Regulations, along with excellent communication skills to interact effectively at all levels.

Job Type: Temporary 

Duration of booking: Expected to last 3 months with possible extension

Proposed start date: ASAP

Pay Rates: Up to £16 per hour Umbrella or £14 per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay

Hours / Working Days: 37.5 hours per week / Monday to Thursday 8:00-16:30 and Friday 8:00-16:00.

Based: Office / Hospital 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform both routine and non-routine work activities, including installations, repairs, and maintenance of plumbing systems.
  • Complete new installation requests, reactive work orders, and weekly planned maintenance tasks.
  • Assist and oversee contractors during inspections and installations.
  • Maintain accurate tool inventories and strictly follow all policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Maintain flexible, adaptable work habits, with the ability to manage workload at various London locations if required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in plumbing and maintenance tasks.
  • Ownership of required tools and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to communicate effectively across different levels of the organization.
  • Strong flexibility and adaptability in handling varied tasks.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Current manual driving license.
  • Reliable attendance, working Monday to Thursday 8:00-16:30 and Friday 8:00-16:00.
