Job Overview:

The Band 5 Plumber role involves advanced plumbing work on mechanical, heating, and water systems. The position requires effective management of new work, repairs, and routine planned maintenance activities, alongside the supervision of contractors and strict adherence to Health and Safety Regulations.

Location: Southall 

Job Type: Temporary 

Duration of booking: Expected to last 3 months with possible extension

Proposed start date: ASAP

Pay Rates: Up to £20 per hour Umbrella or £18 per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay

Hours / Working Days: 37.5 hours per week / Monday to Thursday 8:00-16:30 and Friday 8:00-16:00.

Sector: Healthcare 

Based: Office / Hospital 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake both routine and non-routine plumbing and mechanical tasks, including installations and complex maintenance of plumbing systems.
  • Respond to and complete reactive and planned maintenance requests, including minor new installations.
  • Oversee contractors during inspections, ensuring work aligns with quality and safety standards.
  • Maintain adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of tools and supplies while following all Health and Safety guidelines.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience and skill in advanced plumbing and maintenance tasks.
  • Ownership of essential tools and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to interact with various stakeholders at all levels.
  • Flexibility, with a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Must hold a valid manual driving license.
