Electrician ( entry level)

Job Overview:

The entry level Electrician will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical services and systems across various sites. This role involves both scheduled maintenance and urgent repairs to ensure continued, safe operation of electrical services in compliance with safety regulations.

Location: Southall 

Job Type: Temporary 

Duration of booking: Expected to last 3 months with possible extension

Proposed start date: ASAP

Pay Rates: Up to £16 per hour Umbrella or £14 per hour PAYE inclusive of holiday pay

Hours / Working Days: 37.5 hours per week / Monday to Thursday 8:00-16:30 and Friday 8:00-16:00.

Sector: Healthcare 

Based: Office / Hospital 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine and non-routine electrical maintenance, repairs, and new installations.
  • Respond to reactive work requests, assist with minor new installations, and manage weekly preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Supervise contractors during inspections and installations to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Follow all policies, procedures, and safety regulations while maintaining organized and accurate tool lists.
  • Flexible availability for work across London sites as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance and installations.
  • Ownership of necessary tools and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Effective communication skills to work across different levels of the organization.
  • High flexibility and adaptability to handle diverse tasks.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Valid manual driving license.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance, with work hours Monday to Thursday 8:00-16:30 and Friday 8:00-16:00.
