Job Title: Cleaner

Hours: 08:30am - 10:30am, Monday - Friday

Location: Harlow, Essex

Job Summary: To be responsible for providing specialist cleaning, unskilled cleaning and maintenance related to cleaning and all associated procedures throughout the Trust in order to create a clean, healthy and safe environment for patients, staff and visitors in accordance with local and national health, safety and hygiene legislations.

Day to day duties: 

• Performance of specialist and general cleaning tasks to prescribed standards.
• To have a full understanding of heavy duty cleaning equipment and procedures, their use and maintenance. 
• Ensure all equipment and machinery used are cleaned regularly and securely stored along with materials after use.
• To ensure that a clean and hygienic environment is maintained at all times for Trust staff, patients and members of the public. 
• Clean patient rooms to the highest standards. 
• To work as part of a team to work on wards as directed undertaking domestic duties following the Ward cleaning schedules. 
• Report any work difficulties and potential hazards promptly to the responsible line manager.
• Collect and remove waste materials in accordance with Trust and site procedures.
