Tomorrow marks the 45th National Day in the UAE, a day that highlights the union of the seven Emirates, the last of which (Ras Al Khaimah) joined in 1972.
On National Day, citizens of the UAE celebrate this federal unification by holding fireworks displays, car rallies and dance shows, to name but a few celebratory activities. As a national holiday, citizens are also given time off from work so they can celebrate this important day in the history of their nation.
